Polaroid Prints

When you move house, no-one tells you just how bloody long it takes to make it look like a home. Growing up, you just assume that your parents have had all of their stuff forever. My house took a while to get to the point where it was furnished nicely, but it took even longer to begin looking like a home. This was mostly due to the fact I have no spare cash whatsoever. And then when I did have some spare money, life took a turn for the worse and my mental health wasn't great, and I barely wanted to get out of bed, let alone give a shit about what was on my walls.

I digress.

I knew what I had in mind decoration wise, but my general attempts at DIY craft work tend to look like someone let a three year old loose with a crayola. Whilst I was browsing around the internet, I came across the  'Polaroid Print Store - Polaroid Prints' app, and thought their prices were fairly reasonable for what I wanted (I opted to get 36 prints, costing £19.99 [plus £2.99 shipping] - they also do packs of 24 and 12). I believe my prints arrived less than a week from when I placed my order, and in the mean time I picked up some miniature pegs from The Range, and three while photo frames from B&M.
To create my frames, I dis-assembled the entire frame so I just had the wooden border, carefully laid three lengths of string across, and replaced the glass and paper backing, taping the string to the back of this, before replacing the cardboard backing. Then, I simply pegged my prints on and hung them on the walls. It's simple, but effective, and my home looks a lot cheerier now than it did before.

I should also mention that the quality of the prints is brilliant. I couldn't be happier with them (you can see a close up on my instagram)

All my love,

Em x
